It is almost the end of 2017, time to examine how your year has been so far.
I find it hard to believe that there are only two days left in 2017. I struggle to understand where all the time went. I keep a journal and can look back on any day of the year to recall out what I did that day, but still I am amazed at how fast this year has flown by.
This year I have helped at least three people a day in some way, small or large. I have tried to spread my Grandma’s message of faith, hope, love, and encouragement through my interactions with others and also through my writing. I also published my first children’s book, Near a River. So I think I have had a pretty good year in spite of my ongoing problems.
But still I find myself asking these questions about 2017 regarding my own life as I do each and every November.
- Learned anything new?
- Overcome any challenges in my life?
- Helped anyone else overcome any challenges?
- Contributed any gifts to the world?
- How have I helped others?
- Which negatives have I eliminated from my life?
- Have I rekindled or started any new relationships?
- What places have I seen?
- Let go of anything I could not control?
- Have I made the health of myself and my loved ones a priority?
Based on my answers to my usual November questions, 2017 has been one of the best years of my life so far. Hopefully you have had a great year, too. But if you have not had a great year, you still have 59 days to turn 2017 into one of the greatest years of your life so far.
You can still make 2017 great by examining what you do each day. Try to learn something new, overcome challenges in your life, help others, and contribute your own gifts to the world. Eliminate negatives from your life, rekindle or start healthy relationships, and visit places that will inspire you. Let go of things you cannot control and make health a priority. Remember that you cannot help anyone else if you do not first take care of your own health.
You still have two days to change your world in 2017!
Soar like an eagle over life’s storms. Spend the rest of 2017 making it great!
