Have you had a crazy life like I have had?
My life has definitely been crazy. From the moment I was born, life has thrown challenges on me like baseballs in a batting practice cage. Most of the balls have hit hard. Knowing how my life has been, my husband says that if I wrote a biography, librarians would place it in the fiction section. No one would ever believe that I could have survived that much trauma and remained sane enough to write about my experiences.
As we are traveled south Saturday, we encountered mechanical problems. (We buy everything used so we are very familiar with mechanical problems.) I must stay in the confines of our current small abode because we are in an area where my allergies are nightmarish. Here the pollution causes my eyes itch so badly my vision is blurry and horrible hemiplegic migraine headaches plague me.
In spite of my past and my current environment, I am still content. Stuck in the small space of our RV and not going out, I simply make the most of each and every moment. Yesterday I practiced piano (keyboard) for about 3 hours and spent the rest of the day reading and writing. Unwilling to have a bad day, I simply give thanks for everything I can do and do not even think about what I cannot do.
Giving thanks for everything I can do and not dwelling on the crazy parts of my life has enabled me to survive many hard times.
Is your life crazy like mine is? If so, do not dwell on the past or worry about the future. Just be thankful for anything that is good at the present time. Pray about your past problems and future worries. Give them to God and leave them in His capable hands. Have faith that He will take care of you. If you do these things, you can be content regardless of what your life throws your way.
